Cast :

  • Lee Byung-hun as Kim Hyun-jun South Korea
A soldier with the South Korean Special Forces, Hyun-jun has floated through life with little attention for the details. Assuming the codename "TK1" during operations, he is frequently paired with his friend and colleague Jin Sa-woo.
  • Kim Tae-hee as Choi Seung-hee South Korea
Ranked as a "Team Leader" within the NSS, Seung-hee is an expert profiler that assisted the second-in-command, Park Sang-hyun, with recruiting Kim Hyun-jun and, more directly, Jin Sa-woo. • Jung Joon-ho as Jin Sa-woo South Korea
A friend that has grown up alongside Hyun-jun, Sa-woo is the more level-headed and responsible of the two. In accordance with Hyun-jun's codename, he becomes known as "TK2".
  • Kim Seung-woo as Park Cheol-young North Korea
A seasoned and steadfast supporter of the WPK, Park Cheol-young is the head of the North Korean security team responsible for escorting and protecting heads of state on diplomatic missions. He first encounters Kim Hyun-jun as they are caught in a political impasse in Hungary—one that leaves Park and his entire team at the mercy of their superiors should they not resolve the situation quickly in their favor.
  • Kim So-yeon as Kim Seon-hwa North Korea
Despite being one of very few females to achieve her status, Kim Seon-hwa has gained the trust and acknowledgment of her colleagues in the North Korean security forces. As a subordinate of Park Cheol-young and a ranking officer in his security outfit, she has great admiration for her superior and harbors deep resentment for the South.
  • T.O.P as Vick
A mysterious assassin working for an even more mysterious organization, Vick answers to a man known only as "Mr. Black." Though of apparent Korean descent, his actual origins are unknown and he communicates fluently in both English and Korean. Energy - Invulnerable 無懈可擊 (2003)

Energy is a Taiwanese pop rock boy band formed in 2002. The original band consisted of five members, namely Milk, Ady, Toro, Penny and Joe. Toro and Milk left the band in 2003 and 2005 respectively. Xiao Gang joined the band in mid 2007. The band is now officially disbanded since 2009.

Four members

Without Toro, the band's popularity declined. The musical style of four-member Energy lacked the Rapcore sound which attracted most early fans. The remaining members continued their career with a Greatest Hits Collection entitled Energy 4 Ever, which contained four new tracks and two mash-ups of their previous songs. A limited edition of this album contains a VCD advertising Michael's Dance, a television drama Energy was shooting at the time. Touring by the band proved "tough" as Toro's lines had to be covered by the remaining members. Energy expressed that they were optimistic about the situation, and even joked about Toro's departure during public events.
In 2004, Energy launched their first idol drama serial titled "Michael's Dance" (Chinese: 米迦勒之舞). This was seen by the media as an attempt to revive their popularity. Its original soundtrack (OST) released contains songs recorded by them, including "Hey You" and "I Hear the Angels Sing" (我聽見天使歌唱). "Hey You" contains heavy rapping while the latter track was a melodic ballad. Both songs, and "Dark Times" (黑暗時期) has slight Biblical references. The soundtrack also contained songs by other artistes like Sugababes and DMX. A notable track is "Let's Go" (一起走吧), which is performed by Energy and Show Luo (羅志祥). Penny sang a solo track for this show titled It Isn't Raining (traditional Chinese: 天空沒有下雨). This song is not included in the soundtrack, nor released on any other CD. This song was performed by Penny himself in Energy's FINAL FANTASY concert.
The album FINAL FANTASY (最後的樂園), released in 2005, signaled the end of a four member band. The singles "Heaven and Earth" (天與地 and "Taste of Tears" (眼淚的味道) had a more pop sound compared to early Energy music. This album FINAL FANTASY was criticised for using an excess of freestyle battle. The music video for Heaven and Earth has Ady trapped in a castle, and the other three members saving him. This seemed to allude Only Me and Toro's departure, telling fans that Ady was leaving the band. During Energy's Asian tour, fans tried to persuade the band to not disband. A documentary of this effort is released in the second edition of "FINAL FANTASY". After a series of FINAL FANTASY concerts, Milk turned to his solo career, which included hosting, advertising, and recording his first EP, titled "Puppet", which was released in 2006. Milk released his first solo album in 2008.
After the four man split, Energy attended several award ceremonies without Milk. They only performed their award winning hit "We" (我們). The announcement of a new album New Generation (猩人类) with a new line-up confirmed that Milk was no longer in Energy.

Synopsis

President Choi, hotelier of Seoul Hotel, died from a heart attack hours after Kim Bok-Man, his old friend, informed him of serious plans his company, Hankang Distribution, had to buy over shares of Seoul Hotel. He was succeeded by his wife, Yun Bong-sook, who had never assumed any positions in the past to run the hotel. The reason for Yun assuming the position was to carry on the works of her late husband. Her son, Choi Young-Jae, was a dissolute man who refused to work and was capable of taking drugs.
Yun was confronted by pressures from Kim, who was making his way to buy up Seoul Hotel's shares. To fend off the competitor, Yun sends one of the hotel managers, Suh Jin Young, to America to try to rehire Seoul Hotel's former Head Manager, Han Tae-Jun, who was forced to resign after a scandal involving the hotel. Han was taking care of a drug-addicted, dissolute Korean-American girl who was nearly forced to take drugs.
Kim was looking forward to make his attack and hired Attorney Frank Shin Dong-Hyuk, a wealthy Korean-American takeover businessman, to assist him in buying over the hotel's shares through various means.
Frank Shin agrees to the job only after meeting Suh Jin Young when she travels to America (to find Han) and learns that she actually works at this "Seoul Hotel" of Bok-Man's proposal. Travelling to Seoul Korea for the first time since he left as a child, Frank and his loyal business assistant Leo move into a "Seoul Hotel" chalet to purportedly conduct their secret business with Bok-Man.
Kim learnt of Seoul Hotel's mismanagement through Frank Shin's infiltration as a double-agent. Whilst carrying out his duties, Frank found himself in love with Suh. Suh was later torn between relations with Frank and Han Tae-Jun.
Seoul Hotel proprietress Yun Bong-sook's dissolute son Choi Young-Jae fell in love with Kim Yun-Hee, the daughter of Hankang Distribution's manager Kim Bok-Man, during a nightclub meeting. However, relations went downhill as Kim Yun-Hee developed a crush on Han after a birthday party held at Seoul Hotel.
Han was weighed with duties of defending the hotel from their competitors at the same time protecting Kim from her abusive father and Suh Jin Young from falling in love with Frank. Han was also burdened with the additional duty of mending the ways of the previously dissolute Choi.
Frank soon discovered his dissolute sister, whom had been in Han's care. They went to meet their father, who called them by their Korean names, Dong-hyuk and Dong-hee. Frank's attitude changed as he switched sides to helping Seoul Hotel.
Han Tae-Jun and Frank eventually re-established Seoul Hotel's position, but Yun was diagnosed with cancer and died soon after. Frank and Suh were engaged; Han travels to Las Vegas where Kim Yun-hee was sent to study business. This implies that they will eventually meet.
